Still Life!

Fstop: 3.5
Shutter Speed: 1/30
ISO: 640

This week I picked to do still life. I was thinking about if for a while and decided that my horse stuff would look kind of cool. I shot a few of just two or three things and decided it needed more..My brothers girlfriend was a big help and suggested that a add some of my ribbons. I gave a lot of things a shot like having them be the background and they wouldn't stay. But lucky for me my ribbons are wadded up in a box so i tossed them into a pile and it turned out really cool. In the end I was happy with my final picture.

Portrait

For this weeks gimp assignment we shot portraits. The first picture we shot we used lighting from the window. This would have been a great idea if you wanted to shoot some pictures but didn't have a studio. Next we headed into our school studio and got to shoot wit the "real deal". At the end of the day I realize that my window shot was still kind of blue after even playing with color balance but its alright.

Black and white.

For this week I went out and shot black and and white. Some of the pictures ended up being really cool. My best picture is of my little, well maybe not so little lab Bear. In my yard we have a pond and as everyone knows labs love water! It is often hard to keep the little guy out but it makes for some cool pictures. The other pictures I took are from around my house. I live on the corner of two back roads so I was able to take some of the signs and other nature around the house.

Macro

ISO : 500
Fstop : 3.5
Shutter speed: 1/60

This week I shot macro. This was a lot of fun, I think it was really cool that you can take pictures of simple things up close and see how they turned out. . I shot most of the pictures in my room where the lighting was not the best but I do like how they turned out. My best picture this week was of some really old crayons. I kind of felt like a little kid playing with the crayons! I also attached the slide show of the others from this week.

Panoramic

This week I learned how to make a panoramic picture. It started out very fun then turned frustrating. We learned how to combine many pictures. I found it very frustrating because my pictures weren't working! In the end my pictures turned out good.

Event

Fstop: 9
ISO: 125
Shutter Speed: 1/249

This week I picked to do event. A few weeks ago I went down to the KY horse park for the ROLEX KY 3 Day Event. When we were their there was also jumper finals for the world equestrian games,it was a great opportunity to take pictures. My favorite picture this week was one of cross country day, the horse didn't see the ditch in front of the jump and started to fall. I think it was a cool picture because it does a nice job at capturing the moment. Overall I think that this was a great photo assignment, I had a lot of fun at the horse park and taking pictures wasn't too bad :) I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Motion Demo!

1/80
80

Today we learned how to pan an image. This means we can take a picture of a moving image and make it look clear yet the background blurry. I think it is really cool with all of the things you can do with photography. Once we learned how to shoot it we went outside and took pictures of Mr. Bush riding his bike. At first they didn't work out to well but by the end they where turning out alright. Now I know this isn't the best picture but we were only outside for ten minutes.
